French food manufacturer, Danone, is selling British sauce brands HP Sauce and Lea & Perrins, according to newspaper reports.
Reports suggested that HP Foods could attract as much as £500m, with interest expected from Unilever and Premier Foods, as well as private equity buyers.
Danone has already made it clear it wishes to increase the number of acquisitions it makes this year, as it announced at its annual results.
