Mars UK is hoping to apppeal to health-conscious consumers who tend to avoid ready-made sauces with its first Dolmio organic bolognese sauce.
Organic Sauce for Bolognese, which will feature the Soil Association logo, was created to meet rising consumer demand for organic ingredients.
It will hit Tesco's shelves in November in 500g jars priced at £1.79.
Dolmio is investing £100,000 in the move into the £1.9bn UK organic market, with promotions in Tesco's magazine and website. Like Dolmio's Best Ever sauce range, the packaging will feature front-of-pack Guideline Daily Amounts.
