Masterfoods has recalled a batch of its Dolmio Express Creamy Carbonara Pasta Sauce as the product has been under-processed.
Some 2000 of the single serve portions in 150g pouches are affected and have been on sale at Safeway and Sainsbury.
When opened the affected pouches have a “disagreeable odour” according to the Food Standards Agency.
Consumers have been warned not to eat the product, which has a best before date of 20/11/04, with production times of 21:30 to 22:30, with the code 4A or 4B after the time stamp.
No other Dolmio products are known to be affected.
