The German speciality beer market has seen a flurry of activity this week with a number of brands changing distributors to make way for new brews and variants.
Holsten has picked up the marketing and distribution deal for Franziskaner, a three-strong range of beers previously under the wing of Refresh UK.
Holsten hopes the beers will complement Duckstein, currently its only offering in the speciality beer market.
Insight manager Michael Barrett said: "More and more people are looking for something new."
The company is in talks with retailers to extend distribution of the brand.
As a result of the changes, Refresh UK has taken on the rights to Löwen Weisse, a wheat beer from Munich's Löwenbrau brewery.
The company hopes the next tranche of spring advertising for its sister brand Lowenbrau will help increase trial of Löwen Weisse.
