Champion: Baileys Chocolate Nut Mix
2024 marks 50 years since Irish cream liqueur Baileys first arrived on supermarket shelves, with the brand part-way through its ambition to reposition itself in the market from an occasional after-dinner option to a more accessible adult treat. That’s reflected in this nut mix, which launches the brand into the seasonal nuts category and combines chocolate-coated almonds, a caramelised mix of almonds, cashews, hazelnuts and peanuts with ‘a hint’ of Baileys flavour, and salted toffee popcorn.
The small dash of Baileys gives the festive nut mix a uniqueness and taste of luxury without being overpowering and intentionally separates the SKU from boozy liqueur chocolates. ”It feels indulgent, sweet, exciting and like it would bring together different generations of a family,” said our judges. “A true indulgent treat.”
