Designed to help Whitworths cut through in the crowded health food market and drive through its ‘Be a Nutrition Magician’ brand positioning, this packaging from Eco Flexibles not only looks brilliant, it also adopts numerous innovative technologies to minimise impact.
What most impressed our judges was the use of mono polyolefin structures. This removed the need for secondary materials, successfully achieving the same functionality as had previously only been possible through multiple layers of plastic and foil. In addition, the on-pack design was printed using Eco Flexibles’ new water-based inkjet setup, a far less impactful option that is – says the manufacturer – unique in the UK market at the point of development.
