Japanese cuisine has seen a surge in interest among UK cooks in recent years. The term ‘ramen’ has overtaken Google searches for ‘stir fry’, while sales of block noodles have seen rapid growth as home chefs look to create their own version at home. All of which makes this ready-made ramen broth a smart launch from Itsu, agreed our judges.

The product drastically reduces the length of cooking time to just four minutes (traditional broths can take up to 24 hours) and uses the starch from the noodles to emulsify the sesame oil and elevate the mouthfeel above other instant broths. The result is a “standout product” in the noodle category.
