The Covid-19 legacy of carrying hand sanitiser every time we leave the house and washing hands 20 times per day isn’t about to go away anytime soon. Which is what makes this launch by Caltra, an antibacterial soap dish and moisturising soap, such a topical and clever piece of NPD. The dish is not only antibacterially-treated, but has micro-drainage holes that combine with the ridges in the design of the soap to ensure the bar stays intact and in place. Plus, it’s a far eco-friendlier alternative to getting through plastic bottle upon plastic bottle of handwash, appealing to one of the other big consumer trends of the last two years

Judges loved this product. As an alternative to liquid varieties this soap in its perfectly fitting dish left hands feeling moisturised, smooth and has a lovely aroma. The dish has been well thought out with drainage holes meaning the soap doesn’t dissolve sitting in water and remains more hygienic. An innovative product in this market.
