Winner – Herdez Mexico City Tacos Meal Kit
Family-run business Herdez, based in Mexico City, teamed up with Tesco for the launch of this winning meal kit, bringing its 100 years of heritage in Mexican cuisine to UK supermarket shelves. The brand story was brought to life on this product with “excellent shelf standout” and “strong customer cues” around authenticity.
The ingredients matched up to the on-pack promise too. Judges found the salsa fresh and clean, a subtle heat through the spice mix and robust wraps to hold it all together. In fact, “beautiful bold flavours” ran throughout the pack.
Overall, the product was described as “a really successful family-friendly offering” that creates an easy and convenient way for families to tuck into some genuine Mexican flavours. “This just invites you to pick up and explore,” said judges.
