Frozen meals delivery specialist Wiltshire Farm Foods has secured a five-figure funding package to buy a new depot in Yorkshire.
The Wiltshire-headquartered business, which delivers frozen ready meals to customers’ homes across the UK, expects the depot in Doncaster to boost productivity and increase revenues 15% in the first year of operation.
The financing from HSBC consists of an acquisition loan and has helped Wiltshire Farm Foods expand its workforce with additional drivers, warehouse workers and office staff.
Operations director Rajan Panesar said: “Acquiring depots in towns and cities across the UK is a critical part of our business growth strategy.
“The new depot will enable us to deliver to a larger volume of customers and provide a much more regular service.”
Wiltshire Farm Foods currently provides 150,000 deliveries every year to Yorkshire residents. Over the next three years, it is looking to increase this amount to 250,000.
