BBC Worldwide - the commercial arm of the BBC - has unveiled a raft of new licensed products at this week’s London Toy Fair.
Among the products launched at the show were a range of eight collectible CBeebies plush toys and a large plush toy that plays a lullaby and softly glows. These are due to be brought to market this autumn by Golden Bear Toys.
Products based on CBeebies show Sarah & Duck also made their debut. Produced by Posh Paws, the line-up includes a small talking Sarah and a small Duck, which quacks. Sarah & Duck books will be rolled out by this spring, alongside a BBC DVD and a CBeebies magazine from Immediate Media.
Click Distribution UK has launched a boardgame based on popular CBeebies show Mister Maker at the event, alongside a range of Mister Maker’s Clay Buddies clay modelling sets priced from 99p to £14.99.
BBC Worldwide also announced it was working with licensees such as Character Options, Underground Toys, Zeon and Titan to develop new Doctor Who product ranges featuring Peter Capaldi. These will launch later in 2014.
