Albert Bartlett is hoping to get pulses racing as its new TV ad for Rooster Potatoes hits TV screens.

The ad is the first to star Jesse Metcalfe (the gardener from Desperate Housewives) since Bartlett hired him in the spring, replacing co-star Marcia Cross as the face of the potato brand.

The commercial shows Metcalfe jogging around London, watched by housewives cooking Rooster potatoes. By “raising the temperature” of the housewives who see him, the potatoes cook before they go near the stove. The ad finishes with the voiceover: “Albert Bartlett Rooster Potatoes. They do more.”

The ad - which debuted this week - will run until Christmas on multiple channels.
