Heron Foods has joined the joined the frozen Christmas dinner wars, with a turkey joint and trimmings to feed four for £15.
It comes after Tesco launched a £25 frozen Christmas dinner deal for five earlier this month, only to be followed by a similar deal from Asda for £22.
Heron’s deal consists of a turkey joint with pork, sage and onion stuffing (900g), roasted root vegetables (500g), cauliflower cheese (325g), duck fat roast potatoes (700g), brussels sprouts with bacon (500g), 12 pigs in blankets (240g), carrots with butter (500g) and Yorkshire puddings (220g).
The B&M-owned frozen food retailer’s deal, which works out at £3.75 per person, trumps an offer launched by Iceland earlier this month of Christmas dinner for four for £18.60, or £4.65 per person.

Iceland’s deal consists of a stuffed turkey joint with bacon, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, Yorkshire puddings, garden peas, button sprouts, carrot batons and mince pies.
In terms of price per head, Heron’s deal is also cheaper than Asda’s, which comes in at £4.40 per person.
“We’re delighted to be bringing this fantastic-value festive dinner deal for our customers in the lead-up to Christmas Day,” said Heron Foods MD Tony Dobbs.
“So many families across the country are feeling the effects of the cost of living crisis and we’re hoping this deal will help those families enjoy one of the most iconic British Christmas traditions without worrying about the cost.”
The deal is available in Heron Foods stores nationwide from 27 November.
