Logistics provider Gist has expanded its contract with Carlsberg-Tetley to deliver to major supermarkets as well as to the brewer’s retail depot network for onward delivery to on-trade customers.
The £100m deal over five years will include both the transport element of brewer’s distribution business and its existing warehousing operation.
Gist MD Martin Gwynn said: “This contract is of great strategic importance to us as it provides a strong platform from which to extend further into the rapidly changing, and exciting, brewing sector.”
The new contract will come into force on February 2.
