International food and drugstore retailer Dairy Farm has entered the South Korean health and beauty market through a joint venture with Korean food giant CJ to run the Olive Young chain in the region.
Dairy Farm said it would invest $5m in the 50/50 venture, which is scheduled to commence operations before the end of this year, founded from its existing cash resources.
Launched in 1999 Olive Young currently operates five stores in Seoul.
