Allied Bakeries is launching its take on the Scotch pancake after a £6m investment at its Northern Ireland plant.
Kingsmill Flippitz - pancakes filled with either chocolate or strawberry flavouring - go into stores this week. Available in packs of five at £1.19, the products come individually wrapped.
The new entrant forms part of an extensive NPD programme for Allied Bakeries and the company predicted sales of £3.5m in its first year.
