Marks and Spencer has restructured its main board, saying it is now focusing on strategy and corporate governance so no longer needs the same degree of "functional representation". Chairman Luc Vandevelde said this reflected a new approach that would see decisions brought down "to the lowest possible level". The changes have led to the resignations of property director Roger Aldridge and Joe Rowe, who was in charge of general merchandise procurement, technology and logistics. They will leave M&S in July. Barry Morris has resigned from the board, but remains with M&S as business unit director for womenswear. Working under the chairmanship of Vandevelde, the M&S executive directors are now chief executive Peter Salsbury, Alan McWalter, Robert Colvill, Clara Freeman and Guy McCracken. {{PEOPLE MOVES }}
