Cheeky Panda has appointed Simon Duffy as board member and non-executive director.
Duffy is the founder of Bulldog Skincare, which was acquired by Edgewell Personal Care in 2016 and is now sold in 31 countries, making over $150m in global retail sales annually.
In 2019, Duffy launched sustainable oral hygiene brand Waken.
Duffy is currently involved in the UK startup scene as an investor, advisor and mentor across a number of new and emerging brands. He is also non-executive director for wine merchant Corney & Barrow.
Duffy will join fellow fmcg industry veterans Giles Brook, Sophie More and Andrew Garden on the board at Cheeky Panda.
Cheeky Panda CEO Julie Chen said Duffy was “a brilliant entrepreneur” and had “already given us a lot of insights into trade marketing and how he built Bulldog”.
Duffy’s experience was a “perfect fit for this stage of our scale-up journey”, Chen added.
Cheeky Panda was “a fantastic brand” that created “brilliant sustainable products”, said Duffy.
He added he was “looking forward to assisting the team in their scale-up journey in the UK and around the world”.
