What was your first-ever job? Tennis coach in Sussex.

You've got 25 words to describe your career to date. I moved on to Lloyds Bank, owned a professional basketball team, sold that and then managed Raffles nightclub in Chelsea before joining Shepherd Neame.

How do you describe your job to your mates? I am out and about for up to 60 hours a week, networking and promoting Asahi Super Dry. I love my work, which involves meeting lots of interesting people in interesting places.

If you could change one thing in grocery what would it be? I'd like to reduce the amount of tax levied on beer.

What is the most rewarding part of your job? It is very satisfying to be involved in developing one of the most exciting brands in the UK.

What is the least rewarding part? Having put on weight from spending so much time around food and beer!

What's your best interview tip? Smile, be confident and have a firm handshake.

What was your worst job interview? When I was 21 I asked out the woman who was interviewing me. I didn't get her or the job.

Where do you hope to be in five years? Marketing director for a top brand.

If you were allowed a dream perk what would it be? A Lear jet for trips to Tokyo.

What is your motto in life? Be determined and keep a strong sense of humour.

What do you like to do outside work? Playing sport, maintaining my fish tank.

What's your nickname? Hamster. People were calling me 'Hamster' Hamilton (even though I'm 6' 2") long before anyone had heard of Richard 'Hamster' Hammond.

What was the first single you bought? Stand and Deliver by Adam and the Ants.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? A vet - don't know what happened to that idea

What's your favourite movie? Top Gun. I'm a sucker for 80s kitsch.

What has been the most embarrassing moment in your life? On a Club 18-30 holiday. Need I say more?

Which celebrity would you pick to join your staff? Boris Becker. With his knowledge of Nobu restaurant, he would be great working with a Japanese brand...

What's the weirdest thing you've eaten? Tuna cheek - it's the best part of the fish.

What luxury would you have on your desert island? I must have my iPod.

What animal best reflects your personality? A lion because I'm aggressive but loyal with a heart of gold.
