What was your first-ever job? I was a paper girl, delivering the Oxford Mail to the local area.
What’s been your worst job interview? When I was younger I applied to be cabin crew for a major airline. I was asked to talk about a random subject for a full two minutes and got stage fright. All I could think about was running out of the room. I didn’t get the job!
What was the first music single you bought? I Should be so Lucky by Kylie Minogue.
How do you describe your job to your mates? Hard work but totally worth it. All my friends think I’m mad because I’m working so hard, but I’m totally passionate about getting a fantastic, unique product like CO YO on the shelves.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job? I regularly receive wonderful, heartwarming emails, calls and messages of thanks for bringing CO YO to the UK market.
What’s the least rewarding part? Having to stay on top of the day-to-day admin, numbers and accounts - but of course it has to be done!
What’s your motto? Things don’t change by themselves, you have to make them happen.
If you were allowed one dream perk what would it be? My own chef to cook me healthy and delicious meals.
What’s your favourite movie and why? Pretty Woman. Two words: Richard Gere!
What’s been the most embarrassing moment in your life? Falling in our pond while I was mowing the lawn.
If you could pick a celebrity to join your staff who would it be? Recently, Patsy Kensit was spotted buying CO YO in Selfridges, so she can come and work for me any time
If you could change one thing in grocery what would it be? I would like to see the free-from sector continue to expand. More and more people have specific dietary issues and intolerances.
What luxury would you have on your desert island? With all the coconuts growing naturally on a desert island, it already sounds like a place of luxury! I’d have a large supply of gorgeous things like raw chocolate and fresh fruit to mix in delicious flavours.
What animal best reflects your personality? At the moment, I’m a busy bee.
