What was your first-ever job? When I was a teenager I made suppers in a nursing home. My cheese on toast was a favourite!
What’s been your worst job interview? The worst was for a job with a charter airline I just nodded and said “no problem”, when asked if I would mind flying round the world at a moment’s notice. All I could think was: “But what if I’ve had too many gins?”
What was the first music single you bought? ‘Suddenly’ by Angry Anderson - the theme for Scott and Charlene’s wedding on Neighbours. Slightly embarrassing
How do you describe your job to mates? Eating biscuits! And then when they ask “really?” I tell them it’s actually to try and make more people aware of how tasty Fudges biscuits are and make those who already know buy more.
What is the most rewarding part of your job? Working with a talented and dedicated team and making changes that make a real difference.
What is the least rewarding part? I love going into the bakery but I’m not as big a fan of the hairnet and safety shoes - Manolo Blahnik they are not.
What’s your nickname? I’ve got loads: most popular is Jessicat and more recently Jessipaws!
If you were allowed one dream perk, what would it be? Unlimited stays on a luxury island.
What’s your favourite movie? An Affair To Remember - I love the glamour, old Hollywood and Cary Grant.
What’s been the most embarrassing moment in your life? There have been so many, I couldn’t tell you them here.
If you could pick a celebrity to join your staff who would it be? Simon Cowell. He’s a genius at spotting what will be the next big thing I also love his determination and manipulation skills.
If you could change one thing in grocery what would it be? Less red tape and processes, particularly for small brands with limited resources.
What luxury would you have on your desert island? A solar-powered iPod. I couldn’t live without listening to boys with guitars.
What animal best reflects your personality and why? It’s got to be a cat. I’m pretty independent and like things on my terms, and I can be dismissive too. I also like to lie in the sun.
