What was your first-ever job? Working for my mum and dad in our family Harry Tuffins, stacking shelves and serving customers.
What was your worst job interview? Never had one. I’m genuinely nervous interviewing others, finding it hard not to employ them all.
What was the first music single you bought? Really showing my age - Jack and Jill by Raydio.
How do you describe your job to your mates? Food distribution and logistics, my 24-hour a day passion - just as well as I’m married to the MD and we work together.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?Meeting and working with great people and building strong relationships.
What is the least rewarding part? Long hours and deadlines, as I’m great at starting things, but completing is another story…
What is your motto in life? Give everyone a chance but don’t expect too many chances!
If you were allowed one dream perk what would it be? A plane so I could zip to Ireland more often and have more time with the family.
What’s your favourite movie? Bridesmaids - it’s a hilarious girl flick that will make anyone laugh out loud - well, if you’re a girl.
What’s been the most embarrassing moment in your life? Hearing that a lovely customer of ours had passed away and then telling everyone throughout the day, only for them to walk through the door that same evening!
Do you have any phobias? Heights and clothes shopping in crowded shops.
If you could pick a celebrity to join your staff who would it be and why? Either Richard Branson or Justin King. Both inspirational and the business advice would be priceless.
If you could change one thing in grocery what would it be? I’d like to see the independent sector grow. There’s room for big supermarkets and small independents.
What luxury would you have on your desert island?My iPhone - I’d have time to figure it out.
What animal best reflects your personality and why? Born in the year of the Chinese dragon, I’m a free spirit, creative, ambitious, very passionate, and I can occasionally breathe fire too. Actually, I’m a pussycat really!
