What was your first job? I used to spend my school and university summers working in Oddbins. Made fun by the post-work tasting sessions!
What was the first music single you bought? The Pulp Fiction soundtrack.
How do you describe your job to your mates? We make natural performance products for people like us and we get to spend our time running, riding and training with the Tribe community.
What is the most rewarding part of your job? Seeing the Tribe community feel happier as their performance improves (using Tribe products of course). It’s also amazing to see the community raising funds for the Tribe Freedom Foundation to fight human trafficking. More than £160k has been raised in the past 16 months.
What is the least rewarding part? It’s always sad when team members and friends move on to pastures new.
What is your motto in life? We are all on this journey together.
If you were allowed one dream perk, what would it be? An (environmentally friendly) chauffeur-driven car or flying vehicle. I find travelling such a waste of time, particularly in the mornings when I love getting a few hours of work done.
Do you have any phobias? I can’t stand snakes. And being trapped in enclosed spaces.
If you could change one thing in grocery, what would it be? The packaging and the waste. Very proud that Tribe will shortly be launching compostable packaging.
What luxury would you have on a desert island? A radio to keep abreast of the news. I can’t live without knowing what’s going on around me.
What animal most reflects your personality? Tortoise. Running 1,000 miles has taught me that the most important thing is often just to keep on going/running.
What’s your favourite film and why? Good Will Hunting. I find it very inspiring and I love happy endings!
What has been the most embarrassing moment in your life? Going down a garden slide aged 18 and ending up in a rose bush. Not a pretty sight!
What would your death row meal be? Would have to be cheeseburger and chips followed by a Tribe Infinity Chocolate Salted Caramel bar.
