Cadbury Trebor Bassett is adding a Wine Sours variant to its Maynards gums range next month and increasing the brand's marketing spend by 67% to £2.5m.
The newcomer will also join CTB's Christmas range which it is backing with a total of £29m.
Other new names in the seasonal selection include square tubes', which are easier to stack, a new orange crisp Roses chocolate, and a miniature Wholenut for Heroes.
There are also three new Lord of the Rings products: an Advent calendar, Jelly Rings and a set of chocolate characters.
Although the range sees some tweaks to packaging and new pack sizes, there are few major changes. "We're focusing on key sellers," said portfolio manager Peter Creighton. "There's more to gain from getting that right."
