Ben & Jerry’s is moving into sundaes.
The Unilever brand has unveiled a quartet of ice cream sundaes topped with a “never before seen” whipped ice cream topping alongside “gooey” sauce and chocolate chunks.
They are: Cookie Vermont-ster, Hazel-nuttin’ but Chocolate, Oh My Banoffee Pie, and non-dairy Berry Revolutionary (rsp: £5.49).
Cookie Vermont-ster comprises ice cream with chocolate chip cookies and cookie swirls, while Hazel-nuttin’ includes blended nuts with brownie pieces and sea salt swirls.
The Banoffee Pie flavour, meanwhile, offered “creamy banana ice cream” with “chocolatey caramel cups and cookie swirls”, while the non-dairy option combines non-dairy raspberry ice cream with sandwich cookies and chocolate swirls.
The range is Fairtrade certified and was “jam-packed full of the values-led ingredients fans know and love. like free-grazed dairy and brownies from social enterprise Greyston Bakery”, added Ben & Jerry’s.
The NPD comes on the back of a stellar year for the Unilever brand, whose tubs added a cool £10.6m to their value in 2021, rising 8.3% to hit £138.8m [NielsenIQ 52 w/e 11 September 2021].
