Biggar & Leith has launched a tiramisu-flavoured liqueur under its Stambecco brand.
The 24% abv drink boasted the “delicious flavour of mascarpone, amaretti biscuits, cocoa and coffee”, it said.
Created by master distillers Beppe Ronco and Denis Muni in the Torino Distillati in Piemonte, it contained “100% natural” ingredients, including espresso coffee extracts from local suppliers.
The drink is available to the on-trade and will roll into Amazon shortly (rsp: £24.99/700ml).
“Every home bar should have a bottle of Stambecco Tiramisu Liqueur,” said Biggar & Leith founder Elwyn Gladstone.
The drink – which conjured up “memories of the famous dessert” – could be enjoyed “chilled as a shot, over ice, or in a decadent cocktail”, he added.
It comes after Stambecco debuted Amaro – a 35% abv spirit made with maraschino cherries – in 2020.
However, Stambecco certainly isn’t the only drinks supplier hoping to cash in on a move to coffee-flavoured liqueur.
Tequila brand Cazcabel, for instance, recently secured a Sainsbury’s listing for its coffee tequila and reported a 348% sales increase – after filling the gap in the market left by Bacardí discontinuing Patrón XO Cafe.
