Cadbury has launched a white chocolate Creme Egg for Easter 2023.
The NPD, which was Cadbury’s “first-ever product innovation” for the Creme Egg brand, would tap the growing demand for white chocolate confectionery, it said.
It has rolled into major retailers (rsp: 72p).
Shoppers had been “speculating and anticipating this new flavour for years – and now, it’s finally here for everybody to enjoy”, said Cadbury.
The confectionery giant is also bringing back its ‘How Do You Not Eat Yours?’ Creme Egg campaign for 2023.
Shoppers who find a half-milk, half-white chocolate egg can win up to £10,000 if they resist eating it.
The White Creme Egg is one of a trio of new products launched by Cadbury for Easter 2023.
A new 1kg format for Mini Eggs (rsp: £11.25), intended to appeal to home bakers, and Dairy Milk Orange Filled eggs (rsp: £1.49) have also rolled into retailers.
It comes after Cadbury recently expanded its range of Chocolate Santas and Jingly Bells sharing pouches for Christmas 2022, with new white chocolate variants to capitalise on growing demand.
It also expanded its Caramilk chocolate range – made of caramelised white chocolate – into Buttons in February to tap the trend.
