Hand-hygiene and skincare brand Cuticura is celebrating its 150th anniversary with a raft of NPD.
A three-strong Sensitive anti-bacterial range will roll out in June comprising hand gel (rsp: £1.49/50ml), hand wipes (rsp: £1.29 for 12 wipes) and hand foamer (rsp: £1.49/50mls).
The alcohol and fragrance-free products, which claim to kill 99.9% of bacteria and are the ‘most gentle’ in the brand’s entire portfolio, will be sold in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Boots and pharmacies.
In addition, Cuticura is preparing to roll out its ‘most effective and powerful’ hand sanitiser to date.
Total Advanced Defence Hand Gel (rsp:£1.49/50ml) will be available from Boots, Sainsbury’s, Superdrug and leading pharmacies. Cuticura said it is clinically proven to kill more viruses and bacteria than its standard gel.
The launches will be supported with magazine advertising and experiential sampling.
“We are extremely proud to have reached this momentous milestone, which is not something many other brands are able to claim,” said Cuticura senior brand manager Michelle Zuther.
“With a long-standing trusted heritage and 150 years of expertise, our aim is to continue to lead the way with product innovation.”
The hand sanitiser category grew by 4.6% year on year [IRI 12m/e April 2015] with Cuticura growing ahead of the market at 10.9%.
