Grenade has launched a trio of oat-based protein snack bars called Grenade Reload.
Launching in three variants – Blueberry Muffin, Chocolate Chunk and Billionaires Shortbread – the bars were “the ultimate energy snack”, with a blend of complex carbohydrates and higher protein levels to “help consumers feel fuller for longer”.
Made with wholegrain oats and “all-natural” nut butters, each 100g provides between 23g to 24g of protein and no more than 4.8g of sugar.
Reload was “the perfect guilt-free option for those looking to fuel themselves during the day in a healthier way” said Grenade.
The range is also vegetarian, unlike Grenade’s Carb Killa bars, which contain beef gelatine.
The NPD (rsp: £1.99/2x35g) is rolling out to Amazon and Superdrug from today (27 January).
Alan Barratt, Grenade CEO and co-founder, said the brand wanted to “enter the new year with a bang” by producing a bar that was “sure to change the snacking world”.
Grenade was “offering something different to market” as consumers looked for “great tasting, high-quality, innovative snacks” he added. “We will continue to push the boundaries within the snacking market.”
In November, Grenade launched its first foray into the energy drinks sector with Grenade Energy, claiming the fruity drink packed the same punch as a double espresso.
