Leon is targeting health-conscious home workers with the launch of a range of “plant-rich” soups and salads into Sainsbury’s.
Three soups – Curried Coconut & Sweet Potato, Pea & Pesto and Roast Tomato & Harissa – will roll exclusively into the retailer from 22 September (rsp: £2.25/380g).
They are vegan and gluten-free, weigh in at under 300 calories and provide two of the 5 a day.
They will be joined by three single-serve salads adapted from its past and present restaurant menu – vegan Kale Caesar Pasta, Brazilian Black Bean and a vegetarian Greens & Grains salad (rsp: £3.50/250g).
The range was “perfect for convenient, plant-rich, work from home meals”, said Leon.
The move comes after Leon launched its coffee into the mults for the first time in May, via its exclusive tie-up with Sainsbury’s.
Two ground variants and one whole bean SKU rolled into 493 stores nationwide.
