Nexba is launching a range of sugar-free, zero-caffeine energy drinks with added prebiotics.
Two flavours – Lemon & Yuzu and Wild Citrus – will roll into Holland & Barrett this month (rsp: £1.79/250ml).
Both contained ginseng extract, vitamin B complex and vitamin C to “support good gut health and everyday energy levels”, said the brand.
The drinks had been specially designed to build everyday energy without the crash and burn effect of typical energy drinks, it added.
“So many energy drinks on the market are full of sugar and artificial ingredients,” said Nexba CEO and co-founder Troy Douglas.
“We searched for the best natural and active age-old ingredients and expertly blended them into Nexba Natural Energy with no sugar and no caffeine – but no compromise on taste,” he added.
The launch comes after Nexba kombucha alone pulled in £1.89m in value sales in the 52 weeks until 11 September 2021 [NielsenIQ].
But Nexba certainly isn’t the only soft drinks brand trying to tap the sugar-free energy drinks market.
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, for instance, this month launched a duo of zero-sugar drinks via its Relentless brand.
Over recent weeks, the soft drinks giant also launched Ultra Gold and Ultra Watermelon – both of which are sugar-free – under Monster.
