Oliver’s Cupboard has launched an “inclusive” babyfood into the UK market.
It has unveiled a six-strong range of pouches using organic and halal ingredients, which showcase “global tastes and international flavours”.
Recipes include the likes of Sri Lankan-inspired sambar, Brazilian fish stew and Malaysian laksa, which had been developed with “a focus on creating inclusivity and introducing babies to the world of flavours that exist in the UK”, said the brand.
The range was suitable for children aged seven months onwards, said the brand, and contained “plenty of vegetables”, with vegan and non-vegan options.
The range will roll into Ocado next week (rsp: £1.60/130g).
There was a “serious lack of inclusive food that represents the diversity of parents we have in the UK”, said Oliver’s Cupboard founder Sadia Ahmed.
“We’ve seen a gap in the market for a premium brand that can bring something new to a growing population who are so far feeling excluded”, she said.
The brand wanted to “deliver high-quality organic and halal recipes that match lifestyle and cultural needs, whilst being tasty, nutritious and convenient products that don’t cost the earth”, she added.
