Goodlife Global Cuisine Trio

Plant-based pioneer Goodlife has rolled three new products into Morrisons: Vegetable Firecracker Melt, Loaded Burrito Veg Burger and Vegetable Paella Slice (rsp: £2.25/112g-135g). The brand says the products follow consumer research revealing growing appetite for healthier, plant-based products inspired by world cuisines.
Itsu Chicken Tang Bao

Tang bao are steamed dumplings with a melting broth inside, usually served piping hot in restaurants. Itsu has developed a frozen version of this mainstay of Chinese cuisine, thought to originate from the city of Jinjiang near Shanghai, to roll into Tesco stores next month (rsp: £3.95/280g). Ready from frozen in three minutes, Itsu recommends eating the dumplings in one bite to ensure none of the broth locked inside each one is wasted.
Griddle Plant-based Frozen Waffles

Griddle is challenging itself to become the dominant force in frozen bakery. For its first foray into freezers, the brand is taking inspiration from the popularity of toaster waffles in the US, a market it says is worth $2.6bn. It hopes to fill a gap in the market for similar products in the UK with these plant-based frozen waffles – available in Original, Blueberry and Choc Chip (rsp: £2.50/200g six-pack). The NPD has been picked up by Morrisons and Ocado so far.
Princes Street Food Kebabs

Princes, one of Britain’s biggest canned food manufacturers, is heading for the freezers with its first range of frozen products. The marinaded kebab trio includes Indian Tandoori, Korean Style BBQ and Malaysian Style Satay Chargrilled Chicken Kebab flavours (rsp: £3.75/260g).
Dough-chi
Launch date: December 2021 Manufacturer: Doughlicious
East meets west in this blend of cookie dough and Japanese mochi, which culminates in a chewy cake made from sweet glutinous rice. The work of London startup Doughlicious, Dough-chi is billed as a frozen treat that can be eaten straight from the freezer (rsp: £4.20/6x34g). The range rolled into Ocado in time for Christmas.
Young’s Gastro Range
Launch date: January 2022 Manufacturer: Young’s Seafood
Young’s has expanded its upmarket fish range Gastro with four dishes that have launched into Iceland and The Food Warehouse. They include Creamy Spinach & Cheddar Salmon Parcels (rsp: £4) and Sicilian Lemon & Black Pepper Sole Fillets (rsp: £3.75) along with two dishes inspired by global flavours: Nacho Topped Cod Fillets (rsp: £3.75/350g) and Margherita Cod Fillets (rsp: £3.75/350g).
