SodaStream is adding a Pepsi Max Cherry flavour to its range of sparkling drink mixes.
One 440ml bottle of the flavour is claimed to make “up to nine litres” of the soft drink, when mixed with sparkling water.
It will roll into Amazon on 5 September, followed by John Lewis, Asda and Sainsbury’s later this month (rsp: £5.49/440ml).
The “hotly anticipated” flavour was launched in response consumer demand, said the brand, after SodaStream brought an initial four PepsiCo soft drink flavours – Pepsi, Pepsi Max, 7up and 7up Free – to the UK last autumn.
It would give people “more opportunities to make their favourite PepsiCo drinks at home, reflecting a significant increase in demand over the past couple of years for at-home convenience”, said SodaStream.
According to SodaStream UK & Ireland MD Tiago Alves, customers had been “asking for the flavour to be added to our range for years”.
Alves said he was “really excited” to launch Pepsi Max Cherry, adding that he was “pleased to say the people spoke, and we listened”.
It comes after the brand unveiled a “next generation” range of its sparkling water machines in June.
