Plant-based snacks startup Superfoodio has launched a “revolutionary” range of on-the-go peanut butter buttons.
Four flavours – Original, Coco Crunch, PBJ and Original Plus – have launched via Amazon and the brand’s own website (rsp: £1.59/20g).
Each SKU contained “only four to five natural ingredients, including peanuts, coconut blossom sugar and sea salt” with no palm oil, said Superfoodio.
The buttons provided 6g of protein and less than 4g of sugar per pack, with “high levels of dietary fibre”, it added.
They offered “a mouthful of pure peanut butter without the mess or clag of eating peanut butter directly from the jar or sachet”, it said.
Launching the range required “a huge amount of product development”, said Superfoodio, which was founded by husband-and-wife team Nirali and Jagir Mankodi.
The couple wanted to create “a simpler way to enjoy peanut buttery goodness on the go”, said Jagir.
“The problem with a jar – or a squeezy pack – is that you always end up with sticky fingers and an oily mess. That’s why we created our Peanut Butter Buttons that you can hold in your hand.
“They are the perfect snack to satisfy that peanut butter craving anywhere, any time”, he added.
The launch will be supported by a marketing campaign called ‘#nomorebutterfingers’.
