Free-from brand The Coconut Collaborative this week extended its line-up with what it claims is the world’s first coconut and almond milk yoghurt. Rolling into Waitrose stores now, the yoghurt is a blend of 50% coconut milk, 25% almond milk and 25% coconut water. The supplier said this resulted in creamy texture with a lower calorie content than other coconut yoghurts on the market.
Coconut Collaborative co-founder James Averdieck, who also created the Gü puddings range, said the new flavour would tap growing demand for almond milk among free-from and health-conscious consumers. With the addition of Almond there are now five flavours in The Coconut Collaborative yoghurt range; Natural, Blueberry, Mango & Passionfruit and Raspberry.
The business has also secured new listings for its brand’s Snowconut frozen range, which made its debut in Co-op stores this week with the roll-out of vanilla flavour to 951 stores and chocolate to 145.
