Meat-free brand This has unveiled its first festive range.
It has created a trio of SKUs targeted at Christmas dinners – This Isn’t Pork Mini Sausages, This Isn’t Pork Sage & Apple Stuffing, and This Isn’t Pork Pigs in Blankets.
The range, touted as the “first of its kind” was “aimed at tempting even more meat eaters to trial and adopt plant-based food over the festive season and beyond”, said the brand.
“The festive period is traditionally one of the meatiest occasions out there, but it doesn’t need to be all mistletoe and swine,” added its co-founder Andy Shovel. “The quicker and easier we can make it for people to reduce their meat intake the better, and this shouldn’t mean relying on a stodgy nut roast.”
They have rolled into Tesco and Waitrose this week (rsp: £2.95-£4.50).
It comes on the back of a solid year for the brand, which claimed it was growing at “almost 200%, six times the market rate” and “playing an important role in drawing new consumers into the category”.
This summer saw the brand rake in an £11m cash injection in what it claimed as the largest series A fundraise for a meat alternative brand in the UK.
