Whitworths is expanding its portfolio with a raft of healthier snacks.
The dried fruits, nuts and seeds supplier is adding two new ranges – Treat Mixes and Lunchbox Snacking Packs – as well as a sharing tub of its Californian Raisins.
Treat Mixes would “offer consumers a hint of indulgence”, with milk and white chocolate inclusions alongside the dried fruits and nuts.
They will launch in three flavour combinations: Chocolate Biscuit & Hazelnuts, Chocolate & Caramel Peanuts and White Chocolate & Apple, hitting Asda this month (rsp: £2/130g).
Lunchbox Snacking Packs, meanwhile, were billed as being a “perfectly portioned” single-serve, comprising Whitworths’ bestselling fruits and nuts.
They will launch in six varieties: Apricot Slices, Mixed Nuts, Peanuts & Raisins, Cashew Nuts, Almonds and Berries & Almonds, hitting Tesco this month (rsp: £2/4x25g).
The Whitworths Raisins Tub is 100% recyclable and can be reused, said Whitworths, and offered a “unique format” for snacking, sharing or baking. It will launch into Tesco from September (rsp: £3/400g).
All three new lines feature Whitworths’ new recyclable packaging, which it launched in May this year. The packaging is made up of two layers of 100% recyclable polyethylene film and forms part of the supplier’s continued ambition to incorporate recycled materials where possible.
