Juice drink brand Capri-Sun is coming of age with a new variant that aims to boost its appeal among older children, as well as remaining a favourite with youngsters.
From August, owner Coca-Cola Enterprises is adding 100% juice drinks in orange and apple flavours to appease mums.
Jason Hood, head of health and wellness at CCE, said the drinks were created with children in mind. "Juice has a strong taste and is very acidic," he said. "These drinks are very mild and less acidic and have been designed to appeal to a child's palate."
The 100% juice is the second piece of innovation this year from the brand and follows the launch of a Capri-Sun resealable pouch last month, designed for older kids on the move.
CCE is also launching a 'try me free' money-back guarantee across its child-friendly Minute Maid Froot Refresh drink. Neck collars will appear on 1.4 million bottles for six weeks from August, inviting consumers to send off for a refund.
