3663 is opening four new depots to cope with demand after winning new contracts with Subway, TGI, Rank Group and David Lloyd Leisure.
The new depots, which will open in Wakefield, Hoddesdon, Bicester and Chepstow over the next nine months, are part of a multimillion-pound investment by the foodservice wholesaler to make its distribution network “fit for the future”.
3663 opened a 121,000 sq ft multi-temperature depot in Wakefield last month, which will become fully operational this month.
The Hoddesdon and Chepstow sites will replace smaller depots at Enfield and Severnbridge and will become operational in January and March respectively. The Chepstow site is due to open in the summer.
“This investment is part of our strategy for growth based on continual improvement in customer service and the creation of a local and national depot network that is fit for the future,” said 3663 MD Alex Fisher.
“This comes on top of £40m of recent new account wins and additional category supply agreements with major regional and national customers,” he added.
