A new vivid green tipple is looking to shake up the market for cream-based alcoholic drinks.

66 Classic Key Lime Pie is a mix of lime and cream with vodka. Aimed primarily at women, it can be served as a shot, long drink or cocktail, or even used as a dessert topping, according to supplier 66 Distilling Inc. It is produced in Chorley, Lancashire and sold in a one-litre pouch (rsp: £15).

Joint managing director Paul Mills said the taste, unusual colour and Americana-inspired design had made the drink a hit when it launched at the BBC Good Food Show two weeks ago.

“This is a different way of serving a cream-based alcoholic product,” Mills told The Grocer.
