STORM SUSPENDED
n Bulmers has suspended the launch of its proposed new PPS Storm following its recent financial problems, despite having been adamant that it would go ahead.
n Instead, the beleaguered company plans to concentrate its resources on its San Miguel and Strongbow brands.
n It had promised a unique packaging concept for its new baby, planned for early next year, which is believed to involve the liquid changing colour when gas is released on opening.
SMARTIES IN A BAR
n Nestlé ’owntree is set to bring its Smarties brand out in a chocolate bar format for the first time next month.
n Two versions  milk and white chocolate  will be available in both a six-chunk countline and a 150g family block.
n The collection will get £3m marketing support including TV and press advertising, posters and sampling.

n Parents may be able to give their children the goodness of oily fish and vegetables thanks to tiny capsules designed to be sprinkled onto food.
n Eye q micro from Equazen Nutraceuticals comes in 2g mini sachets containing miniature fish capsules. The company states that the products are absorbed in the intestine.
ADS ON JS OWN LABEL
n Sainsbury is to offer its suppliers extra marketing opportunities by featuring ads for complementary products on some of its own label ranges.
n Kicking off with ads for Yorkshire Tea on milk bottles, the scheme is set to include other high volume, high visibility own label products such as orange juice or bread, taken in and out of the fridge or cupboard several times a day.
