Abel & Cole has launched two new organic boxes to make eating 30 plants a week easy.
The Eat 15 Plants Fruit & Veg Box (rsp: £29.95) and Eat 15 Plants Pantry Box (£20) launched this week.
The fruit and veg box contains organic seasonal produce grown without the use of artificial pesticides, from onions and mushrooms to grapes and bananas.
The other is stocked with sustainable store cupboard essentials including tinned legumes and pulses, as well as oats and other cereals.
The contents of each box will change each week and they are designed to be enjoyed together so consumers can reach the 30 plants a week health goal, recommended to support a healthy gut microbiome.
“Eating 30 plants a week is easier than you think, especially if you ring the changes with fresh seasonal veg and fruit and mingle them with great store cupboard ingredients like pulses, nuts, seeds and spices,” said founder of River Cottage Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.
“The more plants we eat, the better we nurture our gut microbiome, which brings all kinds of benefits and boosts our health and energy.”
The boxes will join Abel & Cole’s product range of organic, sustainable and wild products, which are delivered to consumers with zero air miles and zero “pointless” plastic.
