Accolade Wines has named Caroline Thompson-Hill its new regional MD for Europe, following the departure of Ade McKeon in April.
Thompson-Hill previously held the title of European marketing director and has been acting MD for the UK & Ireland since April.
Prior to joining Accolade Wines in 2019, Thompson-Hill worked in the drinks sector for over 17 years, including roles at Treasury Wine Estates and Diageo.
In her new role, she would be responsible for driving “significant” growth opportunities across the Accolade portfolio, including Echo Falls and Hardys, said the business.
As part of a new growth strategy, Accolade has also appointed Martin McGowan, former global sales director for Chapel Down, as sales director for UK & Ireland.
“I’m honoured to lead the European side of Accolade Wines, in what is a very exciting time for the business,” said Thompson-Hill. “Our purpose is to enrich everyday moments in people’s lives through our amazing wine brands, and our customer and consumer-centric approach will help us achieve this.
“I’m delighted to welcome Martin, who will be responsible for all sales channels in UK & Ireland, driving customer execution and growth agenda in Accolade Wines’ largest region,” she added.
Accolade CEO Robert Foye said Thompson-Hill had the “innovation, commercial and customer skills, and experience to lead our business in its new phase of growth”.
