Filthy Food chocolate bites Company:Park Cakes Price: £4.99 for 12 pieces

Expert's verdict... 5/10

?The packaging of these chilled chocolate bites is great, particular the way the box unfolds when opening. Unfortunately, the product fails to deliver on taste and was far too sweet. At £4.99, what is just an ice cream bar chopped into pieces is overpriced. However, my biggest concern is the whole concept. I am not sure this will work as consumers are unlikely to go to the chiller cabinet for an indulgent chocolate treat. Still, it might do OK in Waitrose and M&S.

Consumer's verdict... 9/10

?The chocolates are nestled in a box that unfolds like a piece of extravagantly-wrapped origami. It opens to reveal creamy chocolates that are fresh and light and rich depending on which of the four flavours you choose. I liked strawberry the most but creme brulée was a bit sickly. I'd like a selection in the one box, though. The 10-day shelf-life wouldn't put me off: it is more akin to a dessert than a box of chocolates and proves it's fresh too. I would take these as a dinner party present, but I'd be just as likely to treat myself.
