Expert's verdict: 7/10 ?Discovery is already an established brand in this area of the market so consumers will recognise the packaging and have high expectations. There is no other pourover, nachos-style sauce on the market so it is an unusual product and consumers may take time to get used to the concept. Advertising would certainly help. If they are fans of nachos, though, consumers will find this simple to use and a lot easier than grating cheese and spooning out salsa, which happens quite a lot in my house. It also tastes very pleasant. Nigel Ashton, category controller, Nisa-Today's Consumer's verdict: 6/10 ?The packaging on the sauce, and the chips that came with it, is bright and the orange and yellow colours give everything a Mexican feel. They would definitely stand out on-shelf and I would probably pick them up. The chips are really crisp and tasty and I would buy them again, but I'm not so sure about the sauce. The directions are to pour it over the chips and heat it, which seemed over-complicated. It worked better and tasted nicer as a cold dip, but the jar didn't have a wide-enough mouth for the chips. They should put it in a pot so you have the option of serving it as a dip. Scarlett Munday, 21, customer services agent, Brighton A year down the line...
