The consumer
In a season of parks, picnics and maybe even an afternoon game of tennis, this is a lovely pink bubbly to sip in the sunshine. Its dryness makes it the perfect accompaniment to something sweet like a bowl of fresh strawberries.
It is pleasant and light, and easily drinkable in the hot weather. The generous use of gold foil and the sophisticated label made it look posher than it actually was. However, I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it to friends. Four stars (out of five)

The retailer
The Wolf Blass Yellow label is such a strong brand with great shelf standout and it is not surprising that the brand owner wants to take on the sparkling category. The colour of the wine is a pretty pink, and the packaging is stylish overall.
The wine is elegant and lives up to its premium price, with soft raspberry, red fruit and spicy notes from the Shiraz perhaps. I am glad to see it has a vintage to set it apart from the competition. It is definitely more serious than other girly pinks. Four stars

The Grocer
Wolf Blass Sparkling Rosé is intended to capitalise on the growing popularity of rosé and sparking wines and it definitely hits the spot. The blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay. Shiraz and Pinot Meunier was really enjoyable with a clean taste and not too much fizz.
At £9.99 it isn't the cheapest sparkling wine on the market, but it deserves the price tag and is sure to be a great rival to the more expensive Champagnes. Four stars
