Alkaline ionised water brand Actiph has teamed up with Marvel Studios to launch limited-edition Thor-themed bottles.
The 600ml bottles have rolled out ahead of the release of Thor: Love and Thunder in UK cinemas on 7 July.
Three designs – featuring three of the film’s main characters: Thor, Jane Foster and Korg – have rolled into selected retailers, including Tesco, M&S, Holland & Barrett, Ocado, Amazon, Whole Foods Market and WH Smith (rsp: £1.39/600ml).
The launch would help retailers capitalise on the “hysteria” generated by the film’s launch, said Actiph.
It will be supported by a “six-figure” above-the-line campaign including advertising on the London Underground, buses, TV and social media.
The brand has also created dedicated free standing display units to “maximise sales and visibility”.
Actiph CMO Barnaby Hughes said the team was “delighted to be charging up our marketing strategy with a movie-making powerhouse”.
Marvel Studios films were “synonymous with action and adventure”, he said, adding that the bottled water brand was “constantly striving to enable and encourage people to lead more active, adventurous lives”.
The campaign itself was “testament to the growth Actiph has experienced in the last three years”, Hughes added.
To support the launch, Actiph is running a competition until 5 August, offering consumers the chance to win movie-themed prizes and its drinks.
