Popular Greek beer Mythos is set to become more widely available in the UK following a distribution deal with Adnams.
The Suffolk brewery has won the rights to distribute the Greek brand, and manage its sales and marketing, from this week in a move Adnams claims will cash in on enthusiasm for Continental beer. Prior to the deal, S&N owned the distribution rights for Mythos, but its availability was limited to Greek restaurants and specialist Greek stores.
The UK off-trade was an important development market for Greek beer, claimed Mythos Brewery’s managing director John Kamviselis. “This partnership represents a real opportunity for Mythos — not least because of Britons’ love of holidaying in the Greek Islands.”
Mythos will hit shelves of the major retailers in the next few weeks (rsp: £3.99 for a four-pack; £1.69 for a 500ml bottle).
