Aldi has appointed Hayleigh Lupino as its UK & Ireland chief financial officer, a newly created role.
Lupino is joining from pub group Marston’s, where she is currently CFO. She has worked at Marston’s for over 20 years in a variety of senior leadership roles.
Her appointment completes a board restructure at Aldi, which has also included the creation of two chief operating officer roles and a chief commercial officer role, with former national buying MD Julie Ashfield appointed to the latter, in moves announced in January.
The new ‘best practice structure’ replaced three group MD roles.
Lupino is due to take up her new role later this year.
“Hayleigh joins our national board as we deliver our £650m investment plan this year, opening new stores and further improving our operations to continue bringing great-quality products at unbeatable prices to millions of households across the UK,” said Aldi UK & Ireland CEO Giles Hurley.
“Her extensive experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow and invest in Britain.”
